12th annual Bike305 Bike To Work Day features scenic route across the Intercoastal Waterway

On Friday, March 7, 2025, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava kicks off Bike305 Month with the highly anticipated 12th annual Bike305 Bike to Work Day. The event begins at 7 A.M. with an opening ceremony at Miami Beach City Hall (1700 Convention Center Drive), followed by a scenic 7.4-mile bike ride to the Stephen P. Clark Government Center.
Mayor Levine Cava will lead the ride, joined by Miami-Dade County Parks Director Maria I. Nardi, county commissioners, municipal mayors, transportation agency leaders, and other dignitaries. The event will showcase Miami-Dade’s premier cycling infrastructure, including the vibrant Beachwalk, green bike lanes on Miami Beach, and the Venetian Causeway’s separated bike lanes overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
As a highlight, the City of Miami Beach will be honored as the 2024 Bike305 Municipality of the Year during a closing ceremony at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center. Miami Beach’s long-standing commitment to building safe and accessible cycling infrastructure has made it a leader in promoting cycling for residents and visitors alike.
The event invites cyclists of all skill levels to join this relaxed-paced ride, which departs Miami Beach City Hall at approximately 7:15 A.M. Complimentary shuttles and bike transport will be available from Government Center back to Miami Beach for participants.
AvMed, once again, is the premier sponsor of this annual event. Dr. Barry Burak & Affiliated Healthcare Centers is sponsoring the bagel breakfast at the conclusion of the ride at Government Center.
Bike305, a Miami-Dade Parks initiative, continues to inspire residents to embrace cycling as a fun, healthy, and sustainable alternative to driving. From community bike rides to free helmet giveaways and instructional programs, Bike305 promotes the “Joy of Cycling” in alignment with Florida Bike Month every March.
