As a busy storm season approaches, the City of Homestead is urging all residents to take action now to protect their families, homes, and neighborhoods. Preparedness is the key to staying safe, and there’s no better time than today to get ready.
• Have a Plan
Make sure your family knows what to do before, during, and after a storm. Identify your evacuation zone and routes, confirm emergency contacts, and secure your home against wind and water damage.
• Build a Kit
Stock up on enough supplies to last at least seven days. That means non-perishable food, bottled water, medications, flashlights, batteries, and any other essential items your household may need
• Stay Informed
Keep up with local news and sign up for Homestead emergency alerts at www.homesteadfl.gov/preparedness. Being informed is one of the most important steps in staying safe.
