FPL’s Power to Save Event Helps Miami Gardens Families Lower Energy Costs
This morning, FPL Energy Experts hosted a free Power to Save event at The Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex to help Miami Gardens locals save money on their energy bills!
They provided information on FPL programs and tips on how customers can keep their bills as low as possible. In addition, FPL is partnered with Farm Share to help combat food insecurity. Farm Share provided free food and goods to the attendees. There was also a Community Resource Fair, which equipped residents with helpful news and services, including the Salvation Army and Miami-Dade Community Action.
Through this program, FPL provides and installs free energy efficiency products and services, including LED lightbulbs, weather-stripping/caulking, limited ductwork repair, water heater pipe-wrapping, water faucet aerators and low-flow shower heads, A/C unit inspection, and more for qualified customers.
