Mission-focused and Passion-Driven Purpose Church Opens in Homestead

Meet Benjie Pérez—a Pastor with a purpose
Founder of Purpose Church, Benjie is a proud missionary Pastor serving in countries like Ukraine, Poland, Argentina, The Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the United States—bringing humanitarian aid to those most in need.
Aside from his missionary work, Benjie is also an accomplished author, life coach, host of Actualidad con Proposito on Enlace Tv, Co-founder/Director of Men with Purpose, and member of the South Florida Pastors and Ministers Association. It’s because of his extensive background that he’s able to offer such a well-rounded experience to those he works with. From corporate leadership to humanitarian aid, Benjie is driven to change lives, no matter what challenges present themselves.
Lifelong missions lead to new opportunities
As a resident of Homestead for over 20 years, Benjie is driven to bring hope, love, and acceptance to his community. In speaking about his work, Benjie explains:
“God has given us the opportunity to be a community leader by serving those in need. Not only in our city but also abroad, in places like Ukraine, Argentina, Poland, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Bahamas, Providing food, clothing, medicine, and preaching the word of God.”
Using his experience in leadership roles in corporate America, Benjie partnered with his wife Yamaris to help bring valuable lessons to empower others in the Hispanic community in Homestead through the church.
A source of salvation and empowerment for everyone
Sometimes all you need to succeed is to know you aren’t alone, and that’s what Benjie and Yamaris hope to provide by opening Purpose Church. With heartfelt passion and dedication to serving others, the Perez family invites anyone in the community to participate in their services.
“Everyone is welcomed to our church. Everyone that may feel lost. Everyone that may feel hopeless. Everyone that feels lonely or is wanting love is always welcomed. We are a church for the people and by the people.”
