City of Homestead Launches Affordable Housing Community Survey
The City of Homestead requests public input for its Affordable Housing Community Survey. The results of the survey will be used to guide Homestead’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 5-year consolidated plan.
The City of Homestead’s CDBG Program was established to address local housing and community development needs. It has been operated locally since 2008 when the City’s population reached 50,000, qualifying the City to receive CDBG funds directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the CDBG program is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for person of low and moderate income.
