FPL’S Summer Interns Sort Thousands of Pounds of Food for local Families

Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) summer interns, who hail from various colleges and universities throughout the United States, sorted thousands of pounds of nonperishable food items at Farm Share on Friday, Aug. 4.

Once sorted, the food will be distributed throughout the community to help feed local families.

In addition to providing reliable energy service and the lowest bill in the state, FPL is also working with the communities it serves. Throughout the year, hundreds of FPL employees volunteer for projects throughout the company’s service area. Intern Power to Care Day allows the summer interns to experience the company’s core values by doing the right thing and giving back to the communities we serve.
