Miami-Dade Parks announces partnership with the Miami Marlins to offer a virtual baseball camp series for kids, ages 3-11

Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces is excited to partner this summer with the Miami Marlins and its “Marlins Youth Academy Camp,” a virtual baseball camp series for kids ages 3-11. The online camp combines interactive experiences in skill development, immersive and hands-on learning, premier instruction, and the love of baseball, from the comfort and convenience of home.
The baseball series joins other Miami-Dade County Parks virtual summer camp offerings, providing children in South Florida with recreational options to enjoy throughout the County.
Marlins Youth Academy Camp is being offered in four week-long sessions, rotating throughout the summer. Each session will include daily activities with new themed content, featuring Marlins players and alumni. Registration is ongoing for either “Billy’s Campers” (ages 3-6) or “Marlins Prospects” (ages 7-11). The cost is $75 per child, per session. The Miami Marlins Foundation will be providing need-based scholarships for up to 100 participants enrolled through select partner organizations of the Foundation.

Nardi. “The Marlins and Miami-Dade County Parks are aligned in our mutual commitment to provide great recreation options that increase the health, well-being and resilience of youth in our community.”
“During these unprecedented times, we remain committed to providing South Florida youth the opportunity to play ball and stay active,” said Marlins Chief Operating Officer Caroline O’Connor. “We are excited to offer a virtual summer camp that will provide fun developmental exercises, and feature exclusive opportunities with Marlins players. These next few weeks will be a home run for campers!”
