Microtheater Miami New Art and New Season
WOMEN
March 16th to April 16th
March is a festive month at Microtheater Miami. The new season WOMEN begins on March 16th with the unveiling of the new face for the containers with art by Magda Love and on March 30th we celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the founding of Microtheater Miami with a red-carpet event and party.
Centro Cultural Español in Miami (CCEMiami) and Microtheater Miami dedicate this new season to WOMEN presenting 12 plays inspired by themes related to women. This season joins great female talent with the collaboration of outstanding directors, writers and actors. The programming for WOMEN offers hilarious comedies, dramas and a fun musical.
The season WOMEN shines with performances by Marise Jimenez, Francesca N. Toledo, Paloma Marquez, Carolina Jaramillo, Lis Coleandro, Belkis Proenza, Maite Embil, Violeta Fonseca, Sandra Perez, Rosa Monroy, Cristina Redoli and Alba Raquel Barros. Writers Paul Vincent Alexander and Christopher Anthony bring us a surrealist take on Donald Trump with The Pussy Grabs Back. Writers Glenn Hutchinson, Nitsy Grau, Monica Arana and Laura Ortega bring us delightful comedies. Directors Rosalba Maldonado, Maria Composto, Veronica Rocco, Lucia Aratanha, Kevin Cass, Miguel Sahid and Paul Vincent Alexander share their talented vision.
The season Women performs from March 16th to April 16th in the following sessions: Prime Time Thursday to Saturday, 8p.m. a 11p.m and the Golfa session Friday and Saturday from 11p.m. to 1a.m. and Sunday from 7p.m. to 10p.m.
