(Homestead, FL) You might be hard pressed to find four artists more different in their art forms, personalities, and even place in history.  Although we’ll never have the opportunity to see the four of them together, they will still share the Seminole Theatre stage this November as part of the Seminole Showcase Series.

November 5th 8:00pm – Miss Cuarenta –  Written by and starring Paula Arcila –  actress, comedian and local radio personality from Amor 107.5 FM – Miss Cuarenta is a comedy that reflects on reaching that age every woman dreads – 40.  Performed completely in Spanish, Ms. Arcila takes audiences on a one hour ride full of laughter , anecdotes and reflections on everything from navigating blind dates to combating wrinkles.

November 11th 8:00pm – Homestead Laughs Featuring Drew Lynch:  Lynch is a comedian best known as the runner up on season 10 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”.   Drew becoming a comedian was almost as unintentional as capturing America’s hearts.  Originally from Indianapolis, at the age of 19, Drew moved to Los Angeles with aspirations of becoming an actor; a dream he had since he was a kid. An unexpected softball accident just a year into his acting career left Drew with a severe stutter and crushed his hopes of ever performing again.

But his continued drive to become an entertainer forced him in a different direction, often reflecting on the “softball that humbly changed his life and gave him a career”. Drew’s vulnerabilty in dealing with his stutter and making it relatable to real-life situations propelled him each week of the competition – advancing him to the finals and ultimately landing him first runner-up on season 10 of America’s Got Talent.  Drew attributes much of his success from his ability to be honest, genuinely facing the “elephant in the room” head on.  Inspired by comedians Bo Burnham, Louis C.K, he now headlines Comedy Clubs across the country.  He will performing stand-up comedy at the Seminole Theatre on Friday, November 11 with a talk-back after the show.

November 12th 7 :00pm & November 13th 3:00pm – Vincent – Leonard Nimoy’s Vincent visits the Seminole Theatre for two performances November 12th and 13th, 2016. Author Leonard Nimoy, who passed away in 2015, dramatizes the passionate and turbulent life of Vincent van Gogh in this intimate one-man play adapted from hundreds of letters between Van Gogh and his closest ally, his brother, Theo. The play includes over 100 stunning high-resolution projections of Vincent’s artwork on a large screen.

Originally performed by Mr. Nimoy himself, this production stars James Briggs, who performed the role Off-Broadway for ten weeks earlier this year, as well as over 100 additional performances of Vincent throughout the United States. He has also performed in many other productions in regional theaters such as The Sun Valley Repertory Company, The Asolo Theater, The Williamstown Theater Festival, and the Potomac Theater Project.
