Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series Brings 30th Anniversary Tour to Islamorada Jan. 28
WINTER PARK, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2017) – The Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series will celebrate its 30-year anniversary tour with Florida Keys anglers at Coral Shores High School on Jan. 28 The National Seminar Series is the nation’s longest-running and most popular educational course on recreational marine fishing tactics and techniques. The tour is presented by Bass Pro Shops and hosted by George Poveromo of “George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing” on the NBC Sports Network. Glenn Law, a prominent light tackle fishing expert and editor at Salt Water Sportsman, will co-host.
Expert Instruction for Anglers of all Experience Levels
Each presentation on the eight-city tour is geared to the how-tos and where-tos of catching saltwater fish in that region — inshore, near shore and offshore. Courses at the Islamorada event will focus on locating productive patch reefs; no-nonsense wreck fishing tactics; trophy king fishing made easy; targeting permit in the channels and on wrecks; understanding local offshore waters (locating edges of the Gulf Stream, thermal breaks, warm water fingers and upwelling); and more.
Teams of top local pros and nationally-recognized saltwater angling authorities serve as the faculty at each seminar. For the full list of instructors joining Poveromo and Law, see the website.
Exclusive After-Party
Participants at the Islamorada seminar will also receive admission to an after party at the local World Wide Sportsman store from 5-9 p.m. Here, anglers can mingle with Poveromo and select presenters, get personalized tips and tricks, and browse the latest products. Complimentary food, refreshments and live music will be provided, and all attendees can bring one guest.
