The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County Recognizes “Getting 2 Zero” HIV/AIDS Awareness Week

The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County recognizes “Getting 2 Zero” HIV/AIDS Awareness Week. Miami-Dade County made a community investment to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Last year, a resolution declared the third week in February as “Getting 2 Zero Miami-Dade County Awareness Week”. The goal is to get to zero new HIV/AIDS cases, zero AIDS related deaths, zero stigma, and zero discrimination.
The 2nd phase of the “Getting 2 Zero” HIV/AIDS awareness campaign will be from February 11th to February 23rd, focusing on PrEP and condoms. An array of services will be offered, which include HIV/STD testing, and an educational forum with topics on HIV, PrEP, Nutrition, Mental Health, and Opioids.
The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County in partnership with the Office of Community Advocacy will host this year’s signature event at the Government Center.
