Five Exceptional Educators Awarded Teacher of the Month and Treated to an Unforgettable Game Night Experience

Five remarkable teachers from Miami-Dade and Broward Counties received a special honor that not only recognized their outstanding contributions to education but also treated them to an unforgettable experience. Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) and the Florida Panthers partnered to celebrate these teachers’ achievements by awarding them the coveted title of Teacher of the Month, January through May 2024.
The partnership aims to highlight the importance of education and honor the efforts of teachers who go above and beyond to uplift their students’ lives. For each of the five selected teachers, the prize has been extra special – an exclusive invitation to attend a Florida Panthers game and bring along friends or family members, ensuring an action-packed and unforgettable night.
The five teachers of the month are:
1.- January teacher of the month: Lelieth McLeod, Crystal Lake Middle School Spanish and French teacher who infuses STEM into her linguistics lessons.
