Volunteers From Aetna, Mercer and Others Team Up to Beautify Brown’s Harbor Campus During National Volunteer Month

Teams from Aetna, a CVS Health Company, Mercer and others joined forces for “Helping Hands at the Harbor” to beautify the Brown’s Harbor campus in Pembroke Pines. Part of Children’s Harbor, a nationally accredited non-profit agency with a mission to help strengthen families who are struggling in the community, Brown’s Harbor is a supportive housing community that offers on-site staff, training, and wrap-around support services for young adults ages 18-23 who have aged out of the foster care system.

Organized as part of National Volunteer Month in April with help from Children’s Harbor Board Member Debra Lage of Mercer, volunteers cleaned windows, laid mulch throughout the campus and organized donations in the Brown’s Harbor campus boutique.
“A heartfelt thank you to these incredible volunteers,” Children’s Harbor President and CEO Tiffani Dhooge said. “Together, they set an amazing example for our young adults!”
