Homestead streamlines DMV tasks with FLOW mobile unit on November 5
The City of Homestead is making motorist services faster and more accessible with the return of Florida Licensing on Wheels (FLOW), a mobile Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles unit. In partnership with Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, the FLOW bus will operate on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the William F. Dickinson Community Center, 1601 North Krome Avenue. Appointments are required and can be booked at www.homesteadfl.gov/DMV.
Designed to cut wait times and eliminate the hassle of crowded offices, the mobile event brings essential DMV services directly to Homestead residents. While driving tests will not be offered, the FLOW team will handle a broad range of transactions on-site, including first-time licenses, renewals, replacements, updates, and more.

– Converting out-of-state license: $48.00
– License renewals: $48.00 (Class E; fees vary for CDL)
– Replacements for lost or stolen licenses: $25.00

To ensure smooth processing, residents must bring:
– Proof of identification (such as a U.S. birth certificate or valid U.S. passport)
– Proof of Social Security number (e.g., Social Security card)
– Two different proofs of residential address (for example, a voter registration card and a utility statement)
– Payments will be accepted via cash, credit card, or check.
