City of Homestead Expands Community Access with Launch of New Passport Services

The City of Homestead has officially become a designated Passport Acceptance Facility by the U.S. Department of State, marking a significant milestone in expanding public access to essential services. Beginning October 1, 2025, residents can now conveniently apply for U.S. passports directly through the City Clerk’s Office, eliminating the need to travel to Downtown Miami or other distant locations.
“This new service reflects our ongoing commitment to improving accessibility and convenience for Homestead residents,” said City Manager Zerry Ihekwaba. “By providing passport services right here in our community, we’re saving residents valuable time while enhancing the level of service they deserve.”
The Passport Acceptance Facility, located at Homestead City Hall (100 Civic Court, Homestead, FL 33030), operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Services are available by appointment only, ensuring efficiency and personalized assistance throughout the application process.
Residents can easily schedule an appointment through the City’s online system at homesteadfl.gov/passport
