Miami Book Fair 2025 Brings Global Literary Stars to Downtown Miami
Miami Book Fair, presented by Miami Dade College, returns for its 42nd edition from November 16–23, 2025, welcoming over 550 authors from more than 35 countries to the Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. The nation’s longest-running literary festival continues its legacy of celebrating stories and voices from around the world through fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s books, and cultural programs.
This year’s headliners include #1 bestselling novelist Daniel Silva, country music star Kenny Chesney, author and TV host Padma Lakshmi, writer and director Larry Charles, Pulitzer Prize-winning artist Art Spiegelman, and MacArthur Fellow Edwidge Danticat. They join an extraordinary lineup of renowned writers such as Carl Hiaasen, Susan Choi, Nnedi Okorafor, and Karen Russell, making this one of the most diverse and ambitious editions in the fair’s history.
“Miami Book Fair is one of the most internationally diverse literary gatherings in the country,” said Lissette Mendez, the fair’s executive director. “This year’s lineup is extraordinary—Pulitzer winners, MacArthur Fellows, and bestselling authors all coming together in Miami. It’s a true celebration of literature’s power to connect us.”
Festival highlights include the Opening Day Block Party on November 16, a vibrant street celebration with live music, food, and books under the stars. The Evenings With Series will feature intimate talks with cultural icons like Daniel Silva, Padma Lakshmi, and Bill McKibben. Visitors can also unwind at the Lost Chapter Rooftop Lounge, featuring live DJs, cocktails, and city views.
From November 21–23, the Street Fair will transform downtown Miami into a massive literary marketplace with more than 250 booksellers and publishers, live performances, and family-friendly activities in Children’s Alley.
Founded in 1984, the Miami Book Fair has grown into a cultural institution attracting more than 200,000 visitors annually. “After four decades, the Fair remains a crossroads where readers and writers from across the world meet,” said Mitchell Kaplan, founder of the event. “It reflects Miami’s role as a bridge between cultures and languages.”
Tickets are now available at MiamiBookFair.com/tickets, with free admission on Friday, and discounted weekend passes online. Events are offered in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, ensuring that this year’s Miami Book Fair continues to celebrate the city’s dynamic, multicultural spirit.
