NFL Artist Replay Elevates Miami Art Week by Bridging Art, Culture and Football
Miami Art Week continues to reinforce its status as a global cultural epicenter, and this year, the National Football League expanded that vision through NFL Artist Replay, a three-day immersive experience that celebrated the powerful intersection of art, culture and football. Far more than an exhibition, the program positioned itself as a creative movement—one that amplifies artistic voices while redefining how fans engage with the game.
Curated by cultural tastemaker Kendall Hurns, the NFL Artist Replay experience showcased a dynamic collection of original works from the program’s 2025 curated artists, including Calvin Clausell Jr., Kayla Mahaffey, McFlyy, Joseph “Sentrock” Perez, and Sydnie & Haylie Jimenez. Together, their pieces explored identity, heritage and personal journeys, reflecting how football’s influence extends beyond the field and into broader cultural expression.
A defining highlight of the exhibition was the inclusion of original artwork from Marco Wilson, cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals, marking the first time an active NFL player contributed original art to the program. He was joined by NFL Legend Martellus Bennett, also known as Mr. Tomonoshi, whose sculptural and handcrafted works introduced a striking new dimension to the showcase, reinforcing the idea that athletic excellence and artistic creativity often share the same foundation.

Across the weekend, the gallery welcomed athletes, artists and cultural influencers who engaged with painting, sculpture and multidimensional installations. Conversations naturally emerged around storytelling, identity and the shared experiences that unite sports and art—a theme echoed throughout the programming.
One of the most impactful moments came through “The Creative Playbook: How NFL Athletes Are Transforming the Creative Scene,” a live panel that brought together Brandon Marshall, Carl Banks, Martellus Bennett, and Adam “Pacman” Jones. The discussion highlighted how creativity empowers athletes to shape legacies that extend far beyond competition.
The experience also embraced participatory design. Inside the gallery, guests customized limited-edition apparel at the Starter Maker’s Studio, while Miami artist Alex Yanes debuted an exclusive capsule collection that sold out during the event—demonstrating the strong appetite for authentic, artist-driven collaborations.
Launched in 2023, NFL Artist Replay continues to grow as a cultural bridge, elevating emerging artists, expanding creative storytelling and offering fans new ways to connect with football through the arts. In Miami, that mission resonated powerfully—affirming art as a universal language capable of uniting communities, disciplines and generations.
