Online Pop-Up Shop to Support Hurricane Helene & Milton Recovery Efforts

Band Together Relief, a diverse collection of artists, is announcing the launch of an online pop-up shop offering exclusive merchandise. This initiative aims to raise vital funds for communities in Florida and North Carolina that have been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene and Milton.
The online pop-up shop (powered by MerchDirect) at bandtogetherrelief.com and will offer one-of-a-kind designs from each band and artist. All profits will be directed to relief efforts in the impacted areas. Proceeds will benefit both the Laundry Project initiative of Current Initiatives and the Emergency Relief Fund of the National Independent Venue Foundation.
Our goal is to work with a top-rated charity that has low overhead costs to ensure that funds reach those in need and make a meaningful impact. Current Initiatives is the main charity collaborating with Band Together Relief to support relief efforts in Florida and North Carolina. While much has already been done to help those affected by these storms, a significant amount of recovery work remains ahead.
Beyond rebuilding infrastructure, many people still struggle with day-to-day necessities. One of these essential needs is laundry. The Laundry Project, an initiative of Current Initiatives, is stepping in to assist lower-income families by transforming laundromats into community centers of hope. Through this project, laundry fees are covered, volunteers help with laundry services, and a supportive environment is created for families.
Jason Sowell, CEO of Current Initiatives’ Laundry Project, emphasized the ongoing need for basic services:
“After a hurricane, the recovery process can be long, and families often face significant challenges. Something as simple as having clean clothes can make a big difference in their day-to-day lives. Laundry is an ongoing need that doesn’t go away, even in times of crisis. Our goal is to provide relief and a sense of normalcy to families in Florida and North Carolina as they rebuild and recover.”
In response to the challenges facing live music communities, Band Together Relief has also partnered with the NIVF Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) to support music venues, local artists, and industry workers who are out of work due to storm damage. This partnership will provide immediate financial assistance to help venues reopen and get people back to work.
Don’t miss this chance to support those in need while also owning exclusive merchandise from your favorite artists. The online pop-up shop will remain an ongoing platform where people can purchase
merchandise or donate directly to Current Initiatives. Together, we can help families, music venues, and communities rebuild and recover from these storms.

Tim McTague from Underoath shared his thoughts on the impact of these storms:
“When we saw what the last month has done to our state, and especially our hometown, it was heartbreaking. I have friends who lost everything—some with insurance and some without. It’s tough to find the motivation to act in the face of such devastation, but we must do something. We know we can rebuild neighborhoods and replace schools, but if we can make a difference in anyone’s tragedy, it’s worth all the effort everyone has put into Band Together. There are venues closed, homes damaged, and people displaced. It’s almost impossible to tackle it all, so we are committed to addressing what we can for Florida, our hometown, and Asheville. We have a tour date there later this year, as well as four in St. Pete, which are some of our favorite places to play, and the people are amazing. If we can give back even a little bit, it’s worth it.”
