AT&T Volunteers Revitalize Roby George Park Court in Homestead as Part of the “Revive tu Cancha” Initiative
The sound of paint rollers and laughter filled the air at Roby George Park in Homestead, where AT&T volunteers, local community leaders, and South Florida muralist Destiny Santana joined forces to bring new life to a beloved neighborhood sports court.
Over the course of two days, close to 50 volunteers worked side by side to refresh the park’s court with new paint, crisp linework, and a vibrant mural, transforming the area into a colorful and welcoming space for local families. The transformation is part of AT&T’s “Revive tu Cancha” (Revive Your Court) initiative — a program originally launched by AT&T México in 2022 and expanded to the United States in 2023.
Through this initiative, AT&T employees volunteer their time to revitalize sports courts in underserved communities, providing safe and inspiring places for kids and families to play soccer and engage in community life. The program also celebrates AT&T’s partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS) and helps build excitement across the country as fans look ahead to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Homestead’s Roby George Park, located at 201 SW 11th Avenue, was chosen for its strong community presence and role as a hub for youth recreation. The colorful mural designed by Destiny Santana serves as the court’s artistic centerpiece, capturing energy, diversity, and unity — themes central to both soccer culture and Homestead’s community spirit.

The effort not only brightened the park’s court but also reinforced a shared mission of volunteerism and civic pride. “Through Revive tu Cancha, we’re helping to ensure that every child has a place to play, dream, and connect through the power of sport,” said Phil Hayes, from AT&T Corporate Communications.
This marks the third sports court revitalization in South Florida under the Revive tu Cancha banner, with more planned as the region builds anticipation for soccer’s biggest global event.
The event featured powerful visuals — from volunteers painting side by side with local residents to Destiny Santana’s mural unveiling — symbolizing the unifying energy of team spirit and community action.
