$10,000 Grants Now Available: A Major Opportunity for Small Businesses in 2026
Small business owners across the United States have a new opportunity to grow and strengthen their operations in 2026. The Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program has officially opened applications for its $10,000 grants, part of a funding pool exceeding $1 million this year.
Since its launch in 2021, the initiative has awarded more than $15 million in grants nationwide, supporting entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and financial resources needed to succeed in today’s competitive market.
One of the most appealing aspects of the program is its flexibility. Applicants only need to apply once to remain eligible for multiple grant rounds throughout the year. From June through December 2026, 10 small businesses will be selected each month, significantly increasing the chances of receiving funding.
The application process is designed to be simple and accessible. To qualify, applicants must register on the Digital Ready platform and complete at least two eligible courses or events at any time during 2026. Once this requirement is met, the grant application becomes available.
Beyond financial support, the program provides access to valuable resources, including one-on-one consulting, training sessions, and practical business tools. In Florida, organizations like the Florida SBDC at FIU play a key role in guiding entrepreneurs on how to maximize these opportunities.
Success stories like that of Marly “Marly Q” Casanova highlight the program’s real impact. After attending a Florida SBDC information session and completing the required steps, she was awarded a $10,000 grant—helping take her business to the next level. The program is open to owners of for-profit small businesses based in the United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands who are at least 18 years old.
Applicants may only apply for one business, even if they own multiple ventures. Applications are reviewed and administered by LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), a nonprofit organization with decades of experience managing grant programs. LISC oversees the entire process, including application review and fund distribution, ensuring fairness and transparency.
The application itself takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, making it a highly accessible opportunity for busy entrepreneurs. However, applicants are encouraged to review their submissions carefully, as changes cannot be made after submission.
In today’s fast-changing economic landscape, access to funding and business education can make a critical difference. For small business owners looking to expand, innovate, or stabilize their operations, this grant program represents a valuable pathway forward in 2026.
