FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Football’s Biggest Show is Coming to Miami!
Miami isn’t just a host—it’s where history begins.
Football fans, get ready! The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ is set to make history, and it all starts right here in Miami. For the first time ever, 32 of the world’s top clubs will compete in a newly expanded tournament that unites every continentand we get to host the opening match.
On June 14, 2025, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami CF will face Al Ahly of Egypt at Hard Rock Stadium, kicking off a month-long celebration of elite football.
The tournament will feature heavyweights like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Flamengo, Boca Juniors, and Seattle Sounders, with LAFC and Club América still vying for the last spot.The format includes eight groups of four teams.
After a single round-robin group stage, the top two teams from each group advance to the round of 16, followed by straight knockout matches until the final at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey. There’s no third-place match—only champions are crowned.
What’s at stake? A massive $1 billion prize pool, with $125 million for the winner, plus a $250 million global investment program to support club football worldwide.
Each host city, including Miami, will receive $1 million to fund local community and soccer initiatives.The new FIFA Club World Cup Trophy, designed by FIFA and Tiffany & Co., features a world map and all 211 FIFA member nations. Fans can explore the trophy interactively online.

Jhamie Chin, FIFA’s Senior Media Relations Officer, added: “For Miami to have the opportunity to host the two biggest and best Men’s FIFA World Cups in back-to-back years, it says a lot about how the sport has been constantly growing… The legacy it will leave for casual fans and young kids seeing these stars up close will resonate for years.
