Miami Gears Up to Kick Off the Historic FIFA Club World Cup 2025™

Get ready, fútbol lovers—Miami is about to make history. The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ is coming to the United States with a brand-new, expanded format, and it all begins right here in the Magic City.
On June 14, 2025, Inter Miami CF, led by Lionel Messi, will take the global spotlight as they face Al Ahly SC of Egypt at Hard Rock Stadium, opening the most ambitious edition of the tournament to date.
For the first time ever, the FIFA Club World Cup will feature 32 teams, representing every continent in a month-long competition. The world’s top clubs—including Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus, Flamengo, Boca Juniors, and Seattle Sounders—will compete across the U.S. in a format that mirrors the FIFA World Cup: eight groups of four, followed by knockout rounds starting with the Round of 16. The tournament will culminate in a final match at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey. No third-place playoff—just champions.
What’s on the line? A staggering $1 billion prize pool, with $125 million awarded to the champion, and an additional $250 million investment to support club development worldwide. Each host city, including Miami, will also receive $1 million to fund grassroots soccer programs and local community projects.
The tournament also debuts a stunning new FIFA Club World Cup Trophy, created in partnership with Tiffany & Co., featuring a world map and all 211 FIFA member nations. Fans can explore the trophy interactively at FIFA.com.
“This tournament brings together the very best clubs from six continents for a month of world-class football,” said Manolo Zubiria, FIFA’s Chief Tournament Officer. “It’s more than a title—it’s a shot at global glory.”
Jhamie Chin, FIFA’s Senior Media Relations Officer, emphasized the significance for Miami: “Hosting the two most important Men’s FIFA World Cups back-to-back says so much about the city’s passion and growth in the sport. It’s a legacy moment.”
Tickets are now available at FIFA.com/tickets, with fans from more than 130 countries already securing their seats. The entire tournament—63 matches—will be streamed free on DAZN, while TNT Sports will air 24 matches across TNT, TBS, and truTV.
From the streets of Miami to the global stage, the road to club football immortality starts here.
