Puptoberfest Returns to Miami

The fall festival will bring hundreds of shelter dogs and cats to Tropical Park for free adoptions, entertainment, food and activities for the entire family.

Animal lovers have a special event to look forward to this fall. Puptoberfest 2026 returns to Miami on Sunday, October 25, bringing together hundreds of shelter pets searching for permanent homes and families ready to give them a second chance.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tropical Park, located at 7900 SW 40th Street in Miami. The family-friendly celebration will combine pet adoptions with a fall festival, farmers market, food trucks, live entertainment and community activities.

At the heart of Puptoberfest is a simple mission: connecting dogs and cats waiting in shelters with people who could become their forever families.

During the event, adoption fees will be waived for pets four months and older, making it easier for Miami-Dade residents to welcome a new four-legged member into their homes.

The animals will also be ready to begin their next chapter. Adopted pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, providing important health and identification services before they leave with their new families.

Puptoberfest is not only for people who have already decided to adopt. Families who are still considering pet ownership can meet available animals, learn more about the adoption process and spend time with potential companions in a relaxed community setting.

The festival helps bring shelter pets closer to the public by creating an environment where prospective adopters can connect with animals outside the traditional shelter experience.
