Miami-Dade County Public Schools Achieves Another Year of Graduation Excellence Above 95%

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) continues to solidify its position as one of Florida’s leading school districts, recording a graduation rate above 95% for the fourth consecutive year and once again surpassing the statewide average. The milestone reflects sustained progress and a long-term commitment to student success across the district.

According to data released by the Florida Department of Education on January 13, 2026, all public schools in Miami-Dade County—including charter schools—achieved a record-high graduation rate of 93.1% for the 2024–2025 school year. This marks a 1.3 percentage point increase from the previous year’s rate of 91.8%, representing the highest graduation rate in the county’s history and continuing an upward trend in student achievement.

Beyond the overall increase, the report highlights that M-DCPS exceeded the statewide graduation rate across every reported student subgroup, underscoring the district’s progress in equity and inclusion. Hispanic students saw their graduation rate rise from 92.4% to 93.6%, surpassing the state average of 91.6%. Black students experienced a significant 1.9 percentage point increase, reaching 89.8%, above the statewide rate of 89.2%.

Students with disabilities also demonstrated measurable improvement, with graduation rates increasing from 89.6% to 90%, exceeding the state average of 89.1%. Notably, students identified as economically disadvantaged posted strong gains, with their graduation rate climbing from 91.2% to 93.1%, well above the statewide average of 89.5%.

One of the most substantial improvements was seen among English Language Learners (ELLs). This group recorded a 3.9 percentage point increase, rising from 84.2% to 88.1%, outperforming the statewide graduation rate of 86.3% for ELL students.
