The Children’s Trust Unveils the 15th Family Expo, Featuring Three Exciting Indoor Venues and Convenient Ride-Sharing Service for Attendees
The Children’s Trust Family Expo, Miami-Dade County’s largest free family resource event, is back with three indoor venues conveniently located across central, southwest, and northern areas, and will feature a spectacular lineup of exhibitors’ displays and family activities. Families and children will have the opportunity to interact with vital service organizations, enjoy some outdoor entertainment, and receive complimentary items such as backpacks and school supplies ahead of the upcoming school year.
To eliminate transportation barriers and ensure seamless access to valuable resources, this years’ experience introduces an exciting addition – a dedicated ride-sharing service. The Children’s Trust has partnered with Uber, which will provide families an Uber Voucher good for up to $15 each way on the hours and days of the Family Expos. *Uber Voucher terms and conditions apply.

WHO: James Haj, President & CEO of The Children’s Trust; and exhibitors, local families, and youth performers. Papa Keith, a prominent figure in South Florida’s urban culture radio scene and the driving force behind the nonprofit movement Papa Keith for People Matter (PK4M) will serve as the MC of the event.
WHY: For 15 years now, the Family Expo draws in thousands of families to access essential information, sign up for programs and secure valuable resources.
VISUALS: Dozens of exhibitor booths housed in air-conditioned gymnasiums and engaging outdoor activities and entertainment, including face painting, arts and crafts, dancing, and food trucks. Coming back this year, UHealth Jackson Urgent Care Teddy Bear Clinic will allow children to have their beloved bears “treated” by health professionals. Over 600 free meals will be distributed to families attending the event. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will be organizing complimentary EKG screenings, providing an opportunity to detect any potential heart irregularities in children. HistoryMiami Museum will be inviting children to explore a pop-up at the event.
