District 9 Scholarship Ceremony
Congratulations are in order for these students as Miami-Dade County Public School officials award the next generation of scholars and prepare them to face a brave new world.
This past Thursday, members of M-DCPS District 9, along with teachers and students, gathered on Zoom for the annual District 9 Student Leadership and Scholarship Awards.
The ceremony is meant to recognize students who have taken on leadership roles, contributing to their communities, and of course excelling in academics.
They are then awarded scholarships to help with their pursuit in higher education.The biggest focus this year was recognizing and awarding young women of color and Latin decent.
