Miami Children’s Museum Hosts Halloween PJ Party

Halloween is about to get a little more comfortable and a lot more fun. The Miami Children’s Museum is inviting South Florida families to slip into their favorite pajamas for an evening of music, glowing experiments, spooky surprises, and hands-on adventures during its Not So Scary PJ Party, happening Friday, October 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

For two exciting hours, the museum will transform into a Halloween playground where children can explore familiar exhibits in a whole new light, discover mysterious characters, and enjoy activities designed to bring families together.Music will set the mood as DJ Pea spins favorite Halloween hits, encouraging children and parents to hit the dance floor. Guests can also learn the classic Monster Mash and show off their best moves in a celebration filled with laughter and energy.

Young scientists will have their moment to shine, too. Guided by the museum’s Mad Scientist, children can create glow-in-the-dark goo while discovering how science can be both fascinating and fun.

Families looking for a little extra excitement can test their courage inside the museum’s Haunted House, where unexpected surprises await around every corner. Throughout the exhibits, Halloween-themed games and interactive challenges will keep young visitors entertained.

Live theater will add another special touch to the evening. The museum’s in-house theater troupe will present a spooky and humorous performance of Creepy Pair of Underwear, bringing a playful Halloween story to life for young audiences.

The adventure continues with MiChi-Boo’s Scavenger Clues, a ghost-hunting challenge that invites children to search for hidden spirits throughout the museum. Those who complete the activity can earn a special squishy prize. Families can also capture the evening’s memories with a spooky Polaroid photo.

Unlike traditional Halloween celebrations, the Not So Scary PJ Party offers families an opportunity to enjoy the holiday through creativity, imagination, and interactive learning in a playful nighttime setting.
