Join the Celebration of the 10th Annual Military Appreciation Day
Homestead, will host the 10th Annual Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 20th. This community event, organized by the City of Homestead in partnership with the Homestead Reserve Air Base, the Military Affairs Committee, the Seminole Theatre, and Homestead Main Street, celebrates and honors the sacrifices of the women and men who serve our country.
Exciting Displays And Interactive Exhibits
The event promises an exciting lineup of displays and interactive exhibits. Attendees can expect to see a range of military vehicles, including vintage and modern, restored antique military vehicles, boats, weaponry, and other interactive displays.
Moreover, the interactive exhibits will include table displays, weaponry, and a trailer with flight simulators. This event offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the machinery and equipment used by the military.
Special Performances and Demonstrations
The event will feature special performances and demonstrations, including a SWAT/K9 show from HPD, showcasing the skills of their highly-trained canine units.
Additionally, the event organizers are working on securing more performances and demonstrations that will provide exciting and informative insights into the lives of our military personnel.
Food, Drink, And Entertainment
Numerous food and drink options will be available at the event to satisfy the attendees’ appetites. Food trucks would be lined up at the venue, courtesy of Miami Food Trucks, offering various food options on-site.
Moreover, active military members, reserve members, and veterans with valid military IDs can pick up $10 food vouchers at the MAC tent, which can be redeemed at the festival’s food trucks and participating restaurants and retailers in
Downtown Homestead. Live music and other forms of entertainment will cater to people of all ages.

The Military Appreciation Day is a community effort, and it is organized by multiple organizations in partnership with the City of Homestead. The event’s purpose is better to unify civilians with all military branches and show appreciation for army personnel.
• Free And Open To All
This annual military appreciation event is free and open to everyone, and there are no restrictions or requirements for attendance. It is a family-friendly event, and attendees are encouraged to bring their children along for an enjoyable day filled with excitement and entertainment.
• Parking And Security
Parking is available at the Homestead Station Parking Garage, and Homestead PD officers will be patrolling throughout the event area to ensure everyone’s safety and security.
