Hard Rock Stadium Ranks Among the Most Expensive World Cup 2026 Venues for Food and Drinks

As excitement builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026, fans across the globe are already making plans to secure tickets, book accommodations, and organize travel to host cities.

However, a new study suggests that the cost of attending a match may extend far beyond the ticket itself, particularly for visitors heading to Miami.

Research conducted by ticket comparison platform SeatPick has ranked all 16 World Cup host stadiums based on the cost of a basic matchday experience, calculating the combined price of one beer and one standard meal.

The findings reveal significant differences between host venues, with Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens emerging as one of the most expensive stadiums in the tournament for food and beverages.

According to the study, fans attending matches at Hard Rock Stadium can expect to spend approximately $30.20 for a beer and a basic meal. Beer prices average around $12.20, while a standard meal is estimated at $18, placing the South Florida venue fourth overall among all World Cup stadiums.

Only three venues ranked higher. Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, topped the list with a combined food and drink cost of $34.24. MetLife Stadium in New Jersey followed at $33.22, while SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles ranked third at $32.24.

The results highlight the growing cost of attending major sporting events in some of the United States’ largest metropolitan markets. While Miami is expected to be one of the premier destinations during the World Cup, visitors may need to budget carefully for expenses once they enter the stadium.

By contrast, the tournament’s Mexican venues were found to be significantly more affordable. Estadio Akron in Guadalajara ranked as the least expensive World Cup stadium overall, with a beer and basic meal costing just $9.77. Estadio Azteca in Mexico City followed at $10.77, while Estadio BBVA in Monterrey came in at $13.90.

SeatPick CEO Gilad Zilberman noted that many supporters focus on obtaining tickets first, often overlooking additional costs that can quickly add up throughout the trip. “For many fans, the World Cup will be a once-in-a-generation experience,” Zilberman said. “When travel, accommodations, food, and drinks are added together, the total cost can be very different from the ticket price alone.”

The study also points out that the gap between the most expensive and least expensive stadiums is substantial. A fan purchasing the same beer-and-meal combination at Levi’s Stadium would spend more than three times what they would pay at Estadio Akron.

As Miami prepares to host some of the tournament’s most anticipated matches, the report serves as a reminder that planning ahead will be essential for visitors hoping to make the most of their World Cup experience.

While the excitement of the games will undoubtedly be worth the trip, understanding the full cost of matchday attendance may help fans avoid surprises once they arrive at the stadium.
