The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics has announced the launch of a statewide public service announcement to raise awareness on the benefits and importance of children receiving routine vaccinations.

According to the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, 40 percent of parents said children missed their routine shots due to the COVID-19 pandemic – though the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advised children should still continue with routine vaccinations during the pandemic.
The FCAAP is urging the community to make children’s vaccinations a priority in order to help stay healthy and save lives. Families without vaccine insurance coverage may be eligible to receive help from the Vaccines for Children program.
You can find more information in the below release and view the PSA video announcement linked HERE. Would you be interested in interviewing an expert at the FCAAP about the importance of children’s vaccinations? If so, I’d be happy to coordinate an interview and answer any questions you may have.
